Autumn Season

London Performance Studios is delighted to present our Autumn Season for 2026, consisting of interdisciplinary performances, workshops, play readings, an exhibition and symposium, developed with our Associate Artists, resident theatre company, and invited collaborators.

From October to December our programme will create space for artistic experimentation, showcasing new and developing work, while celebrating the history of UK theatre and its trailblazers.

Throughout the season, LPS’ resident company The Director’s Theatre Writer’s Theatre (TDTWT) will run a series of four devising workshops tailored to professional actors, physical theatre practitioners, and drama students.

In mid-October, Associate Artist Sam Cottington will premiere The Front, a play that explores how history feels, rather than how it was.

At the end of October our performance Salon returns. Co-curated with Waste Paper Opera, this edition brings together contemporary approaches to classical music traditions, with performances by Lolly Adams, Ramilda, and Waste Paper Opera Chorus with Meili Li.

This season marks year three of Associate Artist Unfinished Histories project Fifty Years Of The Fight For Inclusion (FYFFI). Consisting of a month-long exhibition, a two-day symposium, and play readings, the project marks fifty years since Naseem Khan published a groundbreaking report, The Arts Britain Ignores, and traces that legacy by celebrating half a century of Black and Asian theatre.

The season culminates with the publication launch of previous Associate Artist Alastair Curtis’ book Queer Plays from Trailblazing Writers Lost to HIV/AIDS, a celebratory evening that stages a rehearsed reading of Jerker, one of the seven plays published in the book.
