Seeding

Space

Seeding Space is a talent development initiative that supports emerging artists to explore an idea for a creative project. Participants receive one week of access to one of our studios, with the opportunity to organise a small sharing of the work developed at the end. Since 2021, this initiative has awarded over 100 free space bursaries to more than 250 artists.

For 2024, LPS is expanding Seeding Space to include mentoring, fundraising training and a small production budget.

Seeding Space can support most disciplines and formats within the visual and theatrical arts, with the exceptions of music, dance and movement due to acoustic and spatial restrictions. The bursaries are aimed at artists who would like to develop an idea, so proposals focussed on ticketed events will not be considered.

Seeding Space 2024 is supported by Arts Council England.
