Movement as Resistance
Through movement, conversation, and shared inquiry, these workshops by UK-based dancer and choreographer Richard Pye create space to reflect on how our physical presence, and our collective actions, can help build stronger networks of solidarity. Richard will facility solo, group, contact based tasks and improvisational exercises to explore how movement can be a powerful tool for resistance, care, and intervention.
No dance experience is needed. You are welcome to take part, observe or simply be in the space. Wear socks you can move in without shoes, and long sleeved or covered clothing and trousers again you can move in.
These activities are part of Bystander, a new commission by Richard Pye for Auto Italia, exploring themes of TLGBQIA+ solidarity, visibility, and resistance through movement.
